DESCRIPTION
For the Swiss filmmaker, teddy bear, the memory of a faithful childhood companion, evolved into a fascination with the real bear – an unusual, mythical animal. Droux accompanied by David Bittner, a biologist and bear researcher is going to Alaska, the universe of wild grizzlies. The film is a record of the search for a pair of animals, the male Ball and his great love, Luna. The awakening Arctic summer is the scene of bloody male fights and dramatic attempts to survive the young. In the Droux lens shows the monumental beauty of one of the last wild corners of North America, where it is easier to get a bear’s footprint than a human foot, which is also full of emotional closeness.
