DESCRIPTION

A modern adventure in the style of Mark Twain, full of twists and turns. Zak has Down’s syndrome, lives in a old-age home in North Carolina, has no family and dreams of a wrestler’s career. He’s trying to escape with the help of senior residents. When he finally succeeds, he starts a new life with only white panties on. His first coach is Tyler (Shia LaBeouf), who mourns the death of his older brother. Nilson and Schwartz show that direction and purpose is less important, much more important is who we go down this road with.

DIRECTOR
Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz are American directors who made their debut together with the full-length feature "The Peanut Butter Falcon." They know the protagonist of the film, Zak, from their sides, from North Carolina. The film was created in close cooperation with the main character, the creators show a rarely accepted perspective in the approach to life, stories, self-confidence and a unique perspective that Zak has. Among the heroes of the film, an important place is occupied by local, well-known landscapes - river deltas, marshes or boats – all of which contribute to the action.
