DESCRIPTION
New Orleans, the city where everyone knows each other. In the delta of Mississippi, a unique and explosive conglomeration of personalities and art of its own kind was created. Rooted in the music of black slaves, from the first hits of the drums to today’s complicated and unique phrases, New Orleans music is a separate category not only geographically but also culturally. Many later currents and styles are derived from that place. Our guide is Terence Blanchard, showing us not only the city but most of all the music that is inseparable from it, like the rhythm of a heartbeat.
