DESCRIPTION
The debate about the refugee crisis, one of the greatest global tragedies of recent years, is predominantly black and white. The Danish director introduces nuances to this discussion, creating a film “a vaccine against generalization”. “Love Child”; is as much a film about love as about the forced migration of an Iranian family. She portrays well educated, English-speaking people, Leila, Sahand and their son Mani, fleeing persecution for moral reasons. She has been documenting them for six years, recording scenes from everyday life, but also accompanied by the camera at breakthrough moments.
