DESCRIPTION
“Music in our family, is more than just music, it’s survival, it’s life” – says Ara Malikian, a violinist with Lebanon-Armenian roots. At the age of fourteen, he escaped with his violin from the Beirut bombings and entered a world unknown to him. His performances are full of passion, talent and sensitivity. His ability to combine classical and contemporary music makes world full of Malikian’s fans. An artist who unfolds on stage and makes classical music a modern show full of nuances. The film was shoot during the music tournée; it is an honest, personal story about this difficult to classified artist, considered as one of the best classical musicians of the 21st century.

Nata Moreno (1979), Spanish director and playwright. She is a stage director of Ara Malikian’s shows, as well as creator and producer of his music videos and campaigns. In 2016 she created her own production company Kokoro Films with which she runs different advertising campaigns and personal projects. Her works are well-known because of the poetics of their images, the beauty of the photography, the awareness and defence of social rights, as well as the work of directing actors. In 2019 she debuted with first feature length documentary “Ara Malikian a Life among the Strings”.FILMOGRAPHY
